Providing quality professional development opportunities to educational communities in this region is integral to TIE’s mission and vision.

On an annual basis, TIE provides professional development services for more than 10,000 educators across the region. The TIE conference launched in 1987 has grown into the state’s largest, annual conference attracting 3,000 participants. In the fall of 2000, TIE initiated the first annual Systems Change conference for school leaders. In addition to ongoing work responding to a diversity of school needs, TIE administers a host of major grant programs at the state and federal level.

TIE membership offers a variety of workshops throughout the year. These are generally free to TIE membership schools and can be made available to non-members for a fee. Additionally, TIE partners with New Horizons to provide technical training for technical coordinators in member schools.
